Kyle Cofield likely to join Knights in 2011

Kyle Cofield will likely join the Charlotte Knights to begin the 2011 season, after spending most of 2010 with the Double-A Mississippi Braves. The 23 year old, Cofield joined the White Sox system after being traded from the Braves for right-handed pitcher Scott Linebrink.

Scott Linebrink spent the last three seasons with the White Sox before being traded to the Atlanta Braves. Linebrink is a right-handed reliever who posted a 3-2 record with an ERA of 4.40 through 52 games and 57.1 innings in 2010.

Kyle Cofield, also a right-handed pitcher, was drafted out of high school in 20--. Cofield appeared 18 times in Double-A action in 2010 pitching both from the bullpen and the starting rotation. Kyle posted a 1-3 record with a 4.39 ERA through 55.1 innings pitched. Cofield will look to leave his mark on the White Sox system and the Charlotte Knights in 2011.
